Dmitri
Dmitri is a wealthy Russian businessman whose fortune was built through petrochemicals, investment and share trading during a remarkable period of change in Russia.
At around thirty-five, he is accustomed to wealth, influence and having considerable control over the world around him.
In the future story.
Over dinner with a trusted friend, Dmitri hears that someone has been asking questions about his life and whereabouts. More specifically, questions are apparently being asked of his accountant.
This conversation between old friends is not enough to cause panic, but the answers given to the continued, carefully measured questions he poses give him reason to wonder. Dmitri is far too controlled for an immediate response, but it is enough to raise an eyebrow.
From that apparently simple conversation, his carefully ordered world needs to change.
