Gregoire
Gregoire is a Swiss scientist and experienced project manager whose calm authority and dry humour make him a natural leader in difficult environments.
In the story
In Africa, Gregoire leads the field team investigating a disturbing pattern of animal deaths and crop failures. Practical, decisive and medically experienced, he has little patience for promises and even less for unnecessary delay.
His instinct is to keep moving, keep observing and trust evidence rather than assumption. His understanding of the people, landscape and local conditions becomes increasingly important as the team tries to make sense of what they are seeing.
